With the blessing of his Eminence Archbishop Stylianos, primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in Australia, the Holy Monastery of Pantanassa is erecting a traditional monastic complex in New South Wales, Australia. It is one of many projects which mark the beginning of monasticism in Australia. As his Eminence says, 'it is the first LAVRA of its kind being established in Australia'.

However, it is impossible for such an immense sacred task to be accomplished without the participation and cooperation of all Orthodox faithful in Australia. Therefore, dear reader, we beseech you to carefully read the message of His Eminence so that you may better appreciate the importance and the need for your assistance and participation in this sacred venture. We kindly ask that you pray for our monastery and contribute to this new spiritual beginning in any practical way possible. We also ask that you tell your friends and relatives about this new beginning so that they too may have the opportunity to offer their prayers and practical contribution.
